Lawler's Predictable Campaign Strategy
We've been saying for a while now that Mike Lawler's campaign messaging is always Fear and Smear. It worked for him against Maloney in 2022 and he's already using it against Mondaire Jones in 2024. Just this morning he posted on Twitter that robberies, felony assaults and hate crimes in New York City are up year-to-date:

But Lawler fails to cite the source of his information, even while the NYPD's own website tells an entirely different story, citing double-digit decreases in robberies and felony assaults for the first quarter of 2024 as compared to the same period last year.
Unless Lawler shows the source of his information, we're going to assume he's lying to us and hoping we won't notice. Or maybe he just doesn't care.
